Annotation
Using splints patients with diseases of musculoskeletal system have severely impaired movement patterns with an overload of certain muscles and imbalance, which lead to the deterioration of the regional circulation and the development of degenerative disorders. The aim of this study was to study the use of manual therapy in the rehabilitation of patients with diseases of musculoskeletal system, using orthoses when moving.
There were the examination and treatment of 17 patients with diseases of the musculoskeletal system, using orthoses when moving, including 4 patients after surgery of the hip fixation, 10 patients after allosynthesis of shin bones and 3 after the re-synthesis of the knee joint. 10 patients were women and 7 were men. The average age of the patients was 40.6 years.
The inclusion of manual therapy in the rehabilitation treatment of patients with diseases of the musculoskeletal system, using orthoses when moving, promotes the normalization of muscle tone, restoring of motor skills, decreasing of pain, improving of quality of life, reducing of period of temporary disability.
